You were a child prodigy. Was that a burden?
I consider myself a very peculiar case of the child-prodigy phenomenon. I was fortunate enough to go through educational tracks that included lots of other smart kids. I suppose if somebody had asked me when I was a teenager writing particle-physics papers, do I think that there are a lot of other teenagers doing the same thing, I certainly would have said no. But I didn’t consider it so remarkable.
