I think that about 40% of the number of copies of Mathematica that are out there are in the educational sector. About 23% of the revenue that comes in from sales of Mathematica comes from the educational sector.

When I say educational sector, I mean colleges, high schools and universities, which includes much research usage of Mathematica. It’s hard to be able to come up with exact figures.
